General Tips and Tricks

If you can’t connect your fitness tracker to your computer, start by ensuring your tracker is within 20 feet of the dongle. Then, make sure the tracker is paired to your Fitbit account. If it is, restart your computer. If this doesn’t work, try a different USB port. This should fix the problem if you click on the Fitbit Connect icon and see the message “Couldn’t Find Wireless Sync Dongle”.

The next step you should try is restarting your Fitbit device. This will update the firmware to the latest version and may resolve the problem. Next, you should try reinstalling Fitbit Connect. On a Mac, move “Fitbit Connect” to the trash. Then, reinstall the app. If you have a PC, select “Programs and Features” from the Control Panel. Uninstall Fitbit Connect.

Finally, in the case of a Fitbit Blaze, you should take the tracker out of its frame. Put it in its charging cradle and plug the charger into a USB port that you know is working. Fitbit Blaze will sync automatically through the charging cable.
