P90x is a popular home workout program hosted by Tony Horton. The program consists of a series of DVDs that contain workouts that last approximately one hour. Many P90x reviews mention the program's focus on "muscle confusion." "Muscle confusion" is the idea that the program should change exercises every month to maximize strength and muscle gain. In this article, we will take a closer look at p90x and help you determine whether it is the right home exercise workout program for you.

Product Comparison Table

What Is The P90x By Beachbody?

The P90x program contains a variety of workouts on 12 DVDs, a workout chart, and a nutrition guide. Most of the workouts are about an hour in duration and contain a ten-to-fifteen-minute warm-up. Most of the workouts require minimal equipment. The workouts are enhanced by the use of free weights, a pull-up bar, a yoga mat, and resistance bands. Even including the purchase of necessary accessories, most p90x reviews conclude that the program is more economical than a gym membership.

Product Specs And P90x Reviews

P90x is not a casual workout program. This is a very difficult, high-intensity program that contains routines that most people will not be able to complete on their first attempt. However, because it is a home workout program, users have the flexibility to pause the DVD or skip the sections they find too difficult. Individuals who keep with the program will see results, although achieving the sculpted bodies featured in product advertising also requires strict nutritional discipline.

Pricing

Home workout programs are available for a variety of prices. There are free workout videos on YouTube, but those programs do not include technical plans that are meant to be followed over a period of several months. The workout programs in our survey included workout calendars, nutrition and training guides. The prices ranged from $ to $$$. The more expensive videos had a better production quality, but the less expensive programs had more workout programs.

The program contains 12 DVDs, a nutritional guide, workout calendar, and fitness guide. The presentation of each workout is very good. Tony Horton makes an engaging host, although some dialogue becomes stale after repeated viewings. Once you become familiar with the program, you can turn off the sound and listen to music or podcasts while you work out. It's important to listen to the instructions on proper form so you don't risk injury, but most of the time you're working with light weights or body weight so there is little chance that you will harm yourself.

The nutritional guide is very basic, but it contains viable information. Before starting a new diet, always consult with a doctor or licensed nutritionist. Be sure to make a digital copy of the workout calendar because it contains vital program information, and it is easy to lose the calendar.

Depending on your objectives, most P90x reviews conclude that the program is very effective at gaining strength and losing fat. We liked the variety of exercises in P90x. The Yoga program is an important workout that also emphasizes strength, balance, and flexibility. Other workout programs focus more on aerobic capacity. P90x is a good all-around workout with components for strength, flexibility, endurance, and cardiovascular performance. Tony Horton is a charismatic and knowledgeable trainer, and we feel P90x is one of the most effective home workout routines available.
